LMKL RULES DRAFT & SCHEDULE
The draft is probably the single MOST important event of the entire Fantasy Football year. Your attendance is important. The time and place is posted on the main page and an email reminder with a response back will be issued.

- 4th of July weekend will be the  start date for the LMKL DRAFT.
- A 10 round Slow-draft or until your roster = 35 players, will be conducted after all fees are paid. - You may drop or trade any player(s) during the draft, HOWEVER, you will NOT be rewarded with an extra pick.
- Extra draft picks are rewarded ONLY when an owner drops a keeper player before the draft.
- If an owner trades or sells a player he will not be rewarded with an extra draft pick.

It is suggested that owners include FA monies in their trades to compensate loss Players or Draft Picks.

- Any owner earning future draft pick must cut player(s) or Taxi players to stay within 35 players  before the upcoming Season (Labor Day weekend)
- A time limit of 48 hrs will be set for each pick.
- Time limit may be adjusted if owners are not submitting picks fast enough.
PREDRAFT players is recommended towards the end of the Draft.

HOME
FA veterans and rookies will be in the same draft. This is done to impose a decision on the owner if he wants to draft a proven Vet, that will have an immediate impact, or draft an unproven rookie, with a certain risk that 3yrs down the road will pay-off.  Owners must determine were rookies and veterans will pay off . So when drafting, look at your team and decide quick  fix or long haul. STRAIGHT DRAFT:
Straight draft is the opposite of serpentine draft. Teams draft 10 rounds .
Round #1 (1-14).
Round #2 (1-14)
Round #3 (1-14)..ect
Not only is this the NFL rule, but for a deep keeper fantasy leagues, it  is suggested.
Trading Draft Picks is encoraged (see Trading)
Regular schedule
All teams will play each other once in a H2H match-up for 13 weeks including one Double Header in week 2. Teams will play their RIVAL team twice. The payouts of MPS, MPG, & MVP  will count for the regular season only.
Play-offs
The division winners will get a bye for week 1 of the playoffs . Playoff teams will be seeded 1 through 6 from League standings (not div standings). Week 1, seeds 1 and 2 get a bye; seed 3 plays seed 6, and seed 4 plays seed 5. Subsequent weeks will follow the same method as the NFL. The non playoff teams will play their closest match for the last three weeks to determine next year’s draft order and FA payoyts. Schedules and Divisions are based on last year’s points scored.
